  1. Very nice looking ferry boat. In Finland we have small ferries connecting some islands with the continent. If looking at travel between Estonia and Finland then there are hi speed ferries.

    1. This ferry is a wonderful short-cut to get from the Shannon airport to the Dingle peninsula. It cuts out many hours of driving. I’ve seen the big ferries between Finland and Estonia on the travel shows on TV. Maybe someday I’ll be able to take that journey…my grandparents were from Lithuania. I’d like to visit the whole Baltic area someday.

      1. Oh, how nice. We have not been in Lithuania or in Latvia yet, but we have visited in Tallinn, Estonia many times. From here where I live there are made bus / ferry trips to Tallinn. We have been made shopping in Tallinn, due to its low prices many times.

Some Finn drive thru the Baltic to Europe by car, but we have taken a Ferry direct to Germany and from there to explore Germany.

You must some day visit Lithuania. I am sure that it is an experience of the life.

  2. I like Ferry boat rides too … especially the one from mainland to Prince Edward Island, Canada. The trip begins on the approach road to the ferry … populated with Osprey platforms, and ends with a stunning view of the lush greens and red soil of PEI. Unforgettable.

    1. I’m not one who likes to travel by water, due to unrelenting sea sickness. But ferrying across the Shannon, and cutting out six hours of driving, was a wonderful experience. Gentle waves, and dolphins swimming at the bow.
